An Upper Limit on the Mass of the Circumplanetary Disk for DH Tau b [PDF]
Indexación: Scopus.DH Tau is a young (sim;1 Myr) classical T Tauri star. It is one of the few young PMS stars known to be associated with a planetary mass companion, DH Tau b, orbiting at large separation and detected by direct imaging.

Vibration suppression device that has variable inertia mass using CVT
In this paper author proposed a unique vibration suppression device that has variable inertia mass using continuously variable transmission (CVT) in order to obtain vibration isolation when a harmonic frequency was coincided with an anti-resonance ...

Collinear Subtractions in Hadroproduction of Heavy Quarks [PDF]
We present a detailed discussion of the collinear subtraction terms needed to establish a massive variable-flavour-number scheme for the one-particle inclusive production of heavy quarks in hadronic collisions.

Development and application of wellbore heat transfer model considering variable mass flow
Dual-gradient drilling technology is being increasingly used in formations with narrow pressure margins. For dual-gradient drilling based on downhole separation, hollow spheres are separated into the annulus at the separator position, resulting in ...

Wigner-Moyal description of free variable mass Klein-Gordon fields
A system of coupled kinetic transport equations for the Wigner distributions of a free variable mass Klein-Gordon field is derived. This set of equations is formally equivalent to the full wave equation for electromagnetic waves in nonlinear dispersive ...

Secular Evolution of a Two-Planet System of Three Bodies with Variable Masses
A classical three-body problem with two planets moving around a central star of variable mass on quasi-periodic orbits is considered. The bodies are assumed to attract each other according to Newton’s law of universal gravitation. The star loses its mass

Variable-Mass Particle Filter for Road-Constrained Vehicle Tracking
The paper studies the road-constrained vehicle tracking problem employing the multiple-model particle filtering framework. It introduces an approach which enables for a more efficient particle use within the multimodel structure of the tracker; rather ...

Mass loss from Luminous Blue Variables [PDF]
Luminous Blue Variables (LBV’s) are losing mass at a rate which is higher than in normal stars of the same luminosity. This high mass loss is evident from the occurrence of P Cygni profiles in the visual spectrum, the large numbers of UV lines which are Doppler shifted or show P Cygni profiles and the large IR excess or radio free-free emission.

Confinement and scaling in deep inelastic scattering
We show that parton confinement in the final state generates large $1/Q^2$ corrections to Bjorken scaling, thus leaving less room for the logarithmic corrections.

The Enigmatic Young Low-Mass Variable TWA 30 [PDF]
TWA 30 is a remarkable young (7+/-3 Myr), low-mass (0.12+/-0.04 Msun), late-type star (M5+/-1) residing 42+/-2 pc away from the sun in the TW Hydrae Association. It shows strong outflow spectral signatures such as [S II], [O I], [O II], [O III], and Mg I]
