Adult‐Onset Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis Presenting With Subacute Cognitive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We describe the case of a 41‐year‐old man diagnosed with adult‐onset subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE). The patient presented with subacute progressive cognitive deficits and a neuropsychological profile indicating predominant frontoparietal dysfunction. MRI showed only mild parietal‐predominant cerebral atrophy.

An Improved Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Variable Neighborhood Search

open access: yesMathematics
Various metaheuristic algorithms inspired by nature have been designed to deal with a variety of practical optimization problems. As an excellent metaheuristic algorithm, the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm based on grouping (IPSO) has ...

Skewed general variable neighborhood search to solve the multi-compartment vehicle routing problem [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research
Skewed General Variable Neighborhood Search (SGVNS) is shown to be a powerful and robust methodology for solving vehicle routing problems. In this paper we suggest new SGVNS for solving the multi-compartment vehicle routing problem (MCVRP).

Immune‐Driven Expression in Inclusion Body Myositis With T‐Cell Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives T‐cell large granular lymphocytic leukemia (T‐LGLL), reported in up to 58% of inclusion body myositis (IBM) patients, is a rare leukemia of cytotoxic or less commonly helper T cells. The range of myopathies in T‐LGLL and the impact of coexisting T‐LGLL in IBM are not well understood. Our objectives are to investigate the spectrum of

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

Reactive variable neighborhood search

open access: yes, 2018
Recent works have shown that the variable neighborhood search (VNS) algorithm can be improved by using a reactive component. A component is reactive if its behavior changes dynamically depending on the information obtained from the current run, or depending on the instance to solve.
