Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

SUR Estimation of Error Components Models With AR(1) Disturbances and Unobserved Endogenous Effects [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper focuses on the estimation of error components models in the presence of a correlation of the disturbances across equations and AR(1) of the remainder disturbances for panel data with endogenous unobserved effects.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Statistical inference on variance components [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
In several sciences but especially in animal and plant breeding, the general mixed model with fixed and random effects plays a great role. Statistical inference on variance components means tests of hypotheses about variance components, constructing ...

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Optimal Designs For the Restricted Maximum Likelihood Estimators in a Random Split-Plot Model

open access: yesLithuanian Journal of Statistics, 2017
The design effect for the restricted maximum likelihood estimators of variance components in acompletely randomized split-plot model is studied. The model was used to represent the response generated froman experimental scenario where the whole-plot and

A Confidence Interval for Variance Components

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1954
In this paper an approximate confidence interval is found for the expected value of the difference between two quantities which are independently distributed proportionally to $\chi^2$ variates. Three methods are used. The first is based on the work of Welch [13], [14] and Aspin [1], [2] on the generalized "Student's" problem, and involves neglecting ...

Variance component estimation for unbalanced hierarchical classifications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1962
A systematic method for computing the coefficients of the variance components in the expected mean squares of a hierarchical analysis of variance is described, together with a simple method of pooling if the outermost hierarchy is analysed separately ...
