Semantic information guided diffusion posterior sampling for remote sensing image fusion

open access: yesScientific Reports
The task of image fusion for optical images and SAR images is to integrate valuable information from source images. Recently, owing to powerful generation, diffusion models, e.g., diffusion denoising probabilistic model and score-based diffusion model ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Tumor mutational burden as a determinant of metastatic dissemination patterns

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study performed a comprehensive analysis of genomic data to elucidate whether metastasis in certain organs share genetic characteristics regardless of cancer type. No robust mutational patterns were identified across different metastatic locations and cancer types.

LDCT image denoising algorithm based on two-dimensional variational mode decomposition and dictionary learning

open access: yesScientific Reports
Low-dose X-CT scanning method effectively reduces radiation hazards, however, reducing the radiation dose will introduce noise and artifacts during the projection process, resulting in a decrease in the quality of the reconstructed image. To address this

BRAIN MR IMAGE SEGMENTATION BY MODIFIED ACTIVE CONTOURS AND CONTOURLET TRANSFORM

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2017
Multiresolution analysis is often used for image representation and processing because it can represent image at the split resolution and scale space.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

VARIATIONAL PRINCIPLES IN IMAGE PROCESSING AND THE REGULARIZATION OF ORIENTATION FIELDS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2009
Variational principles and partial differential equations have proved to be fundamental elements in the mathematical modeling of extended systems in physics and engineering. Of particular interest are the equations that arise from a free energy functional. Recently variational principles have begun to be used in Image Processing to perform basic tasks

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Refined Iterative Method for a Common Variational Inclusion and Common Fixed-Point Problem with Practical Applications

open access: yesAxioms
This paper introduces a novel parallel method for solving common variational inclusion and common fixed-point (CVI-CFP) problems. The proposed algorithm provides a strong convergence theorem established under specific conditions associated with the CVI ...

Background subtraction using infinite asymmetric Gaussian mixture models with simultaneous feature selection

open access: yesIET Image Processing, 2020
Mixture models are broadly applied in image processing domains. Related existing challenges include failure to approximate exact data shapes, estimate correct number of components, and ignore irrelevant features.
