SOME NONLINEAR VARIATIONAL INEQUALITIES

open access: yesTamkang Journal of Mathematics, 1995
In this paper, we introduce and study a new class of variational in- equalities. Using the auxiliary principle technique, we prove the existence of a solution of this class of variational inequalities and suggest a new and novel itera- tive algorithm.

Causal analysis of trade loss from pathogens: A global study of foot and mouth disease impacts on meat exports

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Our general interest is in global trade loss from livestock pathogens, specifically exports. We adopt a causal inference approach that considers animal disease outbreaks over time as non‐staggered binary treatments with the potential for switching in (infection) and out of treatment (recovery) within the sample period. The outcome evolution of

Sobolev estimates and inverse Hölder estimates on a class of non-divergence variation-inequality problem arising in American option pricing

open access: yesElectronic Research Archive
We studied the Sobolev estimates and inverse Hölder estimates for a class of variational inequality problems involving divergence-type parabolic operator structures.

Algorithms for Solving the Variational Inequality Problem over the Triple Hierarchical Problem

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
This paper discusses the monotone variational inequality over the solution set of the variational inequality problem and the fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping.

De Gustibus Est Disputandum: The role of agricultural and applied economists in an era of behavior change initiatives and endogenous preferences

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Popular society increasingly questions preferences that drive many resource allocations and production decisions, with many groups actively seeking to alter those preferences to achieve changes to resource use. Agricultural and applied economists, who are already equipped with excellent technical skills to undertake consumer preference and ...

Navigating an STI diagnosis: The role of social support, intergenerational learning, and transformative growth among Black women

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Black women face a myriad of challenges that heighten their susceptibility to sexually transmitted infections (STIs), resulting in a disproportionate impact of STIs among this population. Yet, there is a lack of research that explores how women navigate these diagnoses with resilience.

An Extragradient Method for Fixed Point Problems and Variational Inequality Problems

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2007
We present an extragradient method for fixed point problems and variational inequality problems. Using this method, we can find the common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inequality

Parents' WhatsApp coping resources in the context of ongoing political conflicts: An ecological exploration

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Community Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Mobile technologies have become significant resources for crisis communication and social support in recent years. However, despite empirical evidence pointing to the centrality of these technologies for parenthood in everyday life, it is yet unknown how parents' coping resources play a role in the digital environment.

A novel iterative algorithm for solving a class of variational inequality problems: revisions to ‘On the intermixed method for mixed variational inequality problems: another look and some corrections’

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
In this paper, we investigate the combination of mixed variational inequality problems and propose a novel algorithm that integrates the subgradient extragradient method with the Krasnoselskii-Mann-type method.
