The heteroclinic connection problem for general double-well potentials
By variational methods, we provide a simple proof of existence of a heteroclinic orbit to a second order Hamiltonian ODE that connects the two global minima of a double-well potential.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Including Social Nash Equilibria in Abstract Economies [PDF]
We consider quasi-variational problems (variational problems having constraint sets depending on their own solutions) which appear in concrete economic models such as social and economic networks, financial derivative models, transportation network ...

On the convergence of combined relaxation methods for variational inequalities
A general approach to constructing iterative methods that solve variational inequalities under mild assumptions is proposed. It is based on combining and modifying ideas contained in various relaxation methods.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Bayesian Regression Methods for Crossing Survival Curves
In survival data analysis, the proportional hazards (PH), accelerated failure time (AFT), and proportional odds (PO) models are commonly used semiparametric models for the comparison of survivability in subjects.

RoundMi: A quantitative method to analyze mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells
RoundMi is a workflow for rapid analysis of mitochondrial morphology in mitotic cells. By combining adaptive preprocessing with automated segmentation and quantification, it enables accurate measurements from single focal plane images, reducing acquisition time and computational demands while remaining compatible with high‐throughput fixed and live ...
