Variational methods in the presence of symmetry
The purpose of this paper is to survey and to provide a unified framework to connect a diverse group of results, currently scattered in the literature, that can be usefully viewed as consequences of applying variational methods to problems involving ...

In this paper, we study the following nonlinear problem of Kirchhoff type: { − ( a + b ∫ R 3 | ∇ u | 2 ) Δ u + λ V ( x ) u = | u | p − 2 u , in R 3 , u ∈ H 1 ( R 3 ) , $$ \textstyle\begin{cases} - ( a + b\int_{{\mathbb{R}^{3}}} \vert {\nabla u} \vert ...

Evaluation and Comparison of the Configuration Interaction Calculations for Complex Atoms
Configuration interaction (CI) methods are the method of choice for the determination of wave functions for complex atomic systems from which a variety of atomic properties may be computed.

RAD50 missense variants differentially affect the DNA damage response and mitotic progression
RAD50 incorporates into the MRN complex and initiates the DNA damage response. Furthermore, RAD50 promotes mitotic progression. RAD50 missense variants capable of forming an MRN complex supported the DNA damage response and mitotic features to different extents in complementation experiments, indicating these functions are separable and might impact ...

Self-adaptive subgradient extragradient-type methods for solving variational inequalities
In this paper, we introduce two subgradient extragradient-type algorithms for solving variational inequality problems in the real Hilbert space. The first one can be applied when the mapping f is strongly pseudomonotone (not monotone) and Lipschitz ...

Necessary conditions for variational regularization schemes
We study variational regularization methods in a general framework, more precisely those methods that use a discrepancy and a regularization functional.

CCT4 promotes tunneling nanotube formation
Tunneling nanotubes (TNTs) are membranous tunnel‐like structures that transport molecules and organelles between cells. They vary in thickness, and thick nanotubes often contain microtubules in addition to actin fibers. We found that cells expressing monomeric CCT4 generate many thick TNTs with tubulin.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Iterative Schemes for a Class of Mixed Trifunction Variational Inequalities
We use the auxiliary principle technique to suggest and analyze some iterative methods for solving a new class of variational inequalities, which is called the mixed trifunction variational inequality.
