Cell Autonomous and Non-cell Autonomous Regulation of SMC Progenitors in Pulmonary Hypertension
Summary: Pulmonary hypertension is a devastating disease characterized by excessive vascular muscularization. We previously demonstrated primed platelet-derived growth factor receptor β+ (PDGFR-β+)/smooth muscle cell (SMC) marker+ progenitors at the ...

Automated 1D Helmholtz coil design for cell biology: Weak magnetic fields alter cytoskeleton dynamics [PDF]
For more than fifty years, scientists have been gathering evidence of the biological impacts of weak magnetic fields. However, the lack of systematics in experimental studies has hampered research progress on this subject. To systematically quantify magnetic field effects in cell biology, it is crucial to produce fields that can be automatically ...

This study investigates the impact of nanostructured surface modification on corrosion resistance, HUVEC functions, and platelet interactions of 316L SS for cardiovascular stents. Nanostructured surfaces enhanced HUVEC proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis‐related gene expression while reducing platelet adhesion and hemolysis.

Regulation and Roles of Urocortins in the Vascular System
Urocortins (Ucns) are members of the corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) family of peptides. Ucns would have potent effects on the cardiovascular system via the CRF receptor type 2 (CRF2 receptor).

Progress and Application of Multifunctional Hydrogel in Radioactive Skin Injury
This review examines healing challenges in radiation‐wound injuries, where ionizing radiation impairs immune and tissue repair processes. Hydrogels, with their biocompatibility, antimicrobial properties, and drug delivery capabilities, present a transformative solution. It compares hydrogel efficacy in radiation‐induced versus common wounds, highlights

Ultra‐Flexible µ‐ECoG Arrays Based on PEDOT:PSS Micropillars
This work demonstrates an efficient procedure for fabricating ultra‐flexible neural interfaces endowed with micropatterned microelectrodes to increase surface area and characterized by extremely low impedance values to enable high‐quality recordings. The home‐built device has been shown to record somatosensory evoked potentials in vivo with exceptional
