Automatic reconstruction of vasculature
Artificial Intelligence Review, 1996Two of the most difficult problems in Artificial Intelligence are processing visual scenes and processing natural languages. There has been a large amount of research in each of these fields but little on their integration. This is surprising given the potential importance of integrated systems, not only for understanding human cognition but also for ...

Ovariouterine Vasculature in Sheep
American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1970SUMMARY The latex-injection technique was used to study the arterial and venous systems of the uterus, ovaries, and oviducts of anestrous and estrogen-treated ewes. The ovarian artery (a. ovarica) is the main arterial vessel of the ovine reproductive tract. The uterine branch of this artery supplies the ovary. The uterine artery (a.

Abstract Interrupted aortic arch is discontinuity of the aortic arch in which either an aortic branch vessel or the ductus arteriosus supplies the descending aorta. Three anatomic forms have been described. In type A, interruption of the arch is distal to the origin of the left subclavian artery; in type B, interruption of the arch is ...

Craniopharyngioma with Abnormal Vasculature
Investigative Radiology, 1970A histologically documented craniopharyngioma with abnormal vasculature was reported to have tumor stain on angiography. This appears to be the first report of such a finding in the literature. Gradual local ischemia is suggested as a possible cause.

This research project aims to develop a fabrication approach to form immediately perfusable, immediately endothelialized multiscale vasculature to support cells embedded within thick engineered soft tissue constructs. There is a critical need for rapid and complete vascularization of large, non-vascularized engineered tissue constructs upon ...

Specialization of tumour vasculature
Nature Reviews Cancer, 2002Tumour blood vessels express markers that are not present in resting blood vessels of normal tissues, but that can be shared by angiogenic vessels in non-malignant conditions. Many of these proteins are functionally important in the angiogenic process.
