Sharp Upper and Lower Bounds of VDB Topological Indices of Digraphs
A vertex-degree-based (VDB, for short) topological index φ induced by the numbers φij was recently defined for a digraph D, as φD=12∑uvφdu+dv−, where du+ denotes the out-degree of the vertex u,dv− denotes the in-degree of the vertex v, and the sum runs ...

Inferring physical conditions in interstellar clouds of H_2 [PDF]
We have developed a code that models the formation, destruction, radiative transfer, and vibrational/rotational excitation of H_2 in a detailed fashion. We discuss how such codes, together with FUSE observations of H_2 in diffuse and translucent lines of

The nature and role of the gold-krypton interactions in small neutral gold clusters [PDF]
© 2015 American Chemical Society. We investigate the nature and role of krypton embedding in small neutral gold clusters. For some of these clusters, we observe a particular site-dependent character of the Kr binding that does not completely follow the ...

VDB-EDT: An Efficient Euclidean Distance Transform Algorithm Based on VDB Data Structure
This paper presents a fundamental algorithm, called VDB-EDT, for Euclidean distance transform (EDT) based on the VDB data structure. The algorithm executes on grid maps and generates the corresponding distance field for recording distance information against obstacles, which forms the basis of numerous motion planning algorithms.

Quantitative Morphology of Galaxies in the Hubble Deep Field [PDF]
We measure quantitative structural parameters of galaxies in the Hubble Deep Field (HDF) on the drizzled F814W images. Our structural parameters are based on a two-component surface brightness made up of a S\'ersic profile and an exponential profile.
