Vector optimization vs. vectorization

Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, 1988
This paper differentiates between vectorization (and also concurrentization) and vector optimization (or concurrency optimization). Vectorization (concurrentization) is the process of translating serial DO (or FOR) loops into vector code for a vector computer (concurrent code for a multiprocessor computer). Vector optimization (concurrency optimization)

Supersymmetric vector-vector duality

Classical and Quantum Gravity, 1987
Massive self-dual abelian vector fields in 3 dimensions (Euclidean) can be described equivalently either by an action linear in the derivatives, or quadratic with an additional mass term. Here the supersymmetric generalization of this result is considered again in 3-dimensions. Coupling to matter is also discussed.

Psyllid Vectors

2019
‘Candidatus Phytoplasma’ species are mostly transmitted from plant to plant by phloem feeding hemipterans, primarily leafhoppers (Cicadellidae) and planthoppers (Fulgoroidea) (Hemiptera, Auchenorrhyncha). However, there is one group of phytoplasmas, the 16SrX or apple proliferation group, whose members are transmitted by psyllid vectors of the ...

Lentiviral Vectors

2011
Lentiviral vectors have evolved over the last decade as powerful, reliable, and safe tools for stable gene transfer in a wide variety of mammalian cells. Contrary to other vectors derived from oncoretroviruses, they allow for stable gene delivery into most nondividing primary cells.

Vector integration

Quaestiones Mathematicae, 2012
This paper deals with the theory of integration of scalar functions with respect to a measure with values in a, not necessarily locally convex, topological vector space. It focuses on the extension of such integrals from bounded measurable functions to the class of integrable functions, proving adequate convergence theorems, and establishing usable ...

Lentiviral Vectors

2005
We review the use of lentiviral vectors in current human gene therapy applications that involve genetic modification of nondividing tissues with integrated transgenes. Safety issues, including insertional mutagenesis and replication-competent retroviruses, are discussed.
