Proposition for an Unambiguous Vector Bond Graph Notation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1982
Notation and definitions of vector bonds and multiport elements are proposed. Multiport element arrays and junction arrays are introduced as well as the direct sum of vector bonds. The usefulness of these concepts is demonstrated by some examples: the lumped representation of distributed parameter systems, the representation of a 3-D mechanical system (

Causality in vector bond graphs and its application to modeling of multi-body dynamic systems

Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory, 2006
Abstract Applications of bond graph to the modeling of dynamic systems with one dimensional topology have been proved to be efficient and effective. In applications where multi-power bonds are required to express the physics of the elements, the multi-dimensional topology of the system needs to be resolved into scalar forms.

Bond graph toolbox for handling complex variable [PDF]

open access: yesIET Control Theory and Applications, 2009
Bond graph is an apt modelling tool for any system working across multiple energy domains. Power electronics system modelling is usually the study of the interplay of energy in the domains of electrical, mechanical, magnetic and thermal.

Vector Bond Graph Analysis of Mechanical Systems

Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, 1991
The utility of existing bond graph methods in the analysis of complex mechanical systems has been limited significantly by the absence of a tensor based vector modeling methodology. Topological simplifications are needed in order to recapture the efficiency of graphical model formulation work for complex mechanisms.

Screw-Vector Bond Graphs for the Kinestatic and Dynamic Modeling of Multibody Systems

Dynamic Systems and Control: Volume 2 — Design and Analysis of Fluid Power Control Components/Systems; Automated Modeling; Micro-Mechanical Systems; Microsensors/Microactuators; Fabrication/Systems; Mechatronics for Manufacturing; Automatic Control Textbooks; Sensors for Identification/Control; Dynamic Systems Modeling, 1994
Abstract An intrinsic bond graph representation of multibody systems, called screw-vector bond graphs, is proposed. It is based on the on the intrinsic geometric definition of the rigid body displacements as positively oriented isometries in the three dimensional physical space, i.e. elements of the special Euclidean group SE(3). As a

Application of Vector Bond Graphs to the Modeling of a Class of Hand Prostheses

Volume 3, 2004
Vector bond graphs have been systematically applied to the modeling of prosthesis for a partially impaired hand. The partial impairment considered covers a category of the hand that has lost one or more fingers but retains the ability of its remaining natural fingers. The fingers and their prosthetic extensions are considered as rigid links.

MODELING AND SIMULATION OF A LANDING GEAR SYSTEM WITH EULER-LAGRANGE VECTOR BOND-GRAPH APPROACH

Ibero-Latin American Congress on Computational Methods in Engineering (CILAMCE)
This work aims to develop and simulate a model of landing gear system during an aircraft touch down. During an aircraft development process, many experimental tests are made to ensure the functionality and safety of the landing gear systems. Instead of using iron bird prototypes to perform the tests, using digital twins as high-fidelity model ...
