Central Non-Linear Model-Based Predictive Vehicle Dynamics Control

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Considering automated driving, vehicle dynamics control systems are also a crucial aspect. Vehicle dynamics control systems serve as an important influence factor on safety and ride comfort.

Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Real-Time Modeling of Vehicle’s Longitudinal-Vertical Dynamics in ADAS Applications

open access: yesActuators, 2022
The selection of an appropriate method for modeling vehicle dynamics heavily depends on the application. Due to the absence of human intervention, the demand for an accurate and real-time model of vehicle dynamics for intelligent control increases for ...

Pharmacological chromatin remodeling enhances response to estrogen therapy in ER+ breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Estrogen therapy elicits clinical benefit in ~ 30% of patients with endocrine‐resistant estrogen receptor (ER)‐positive breast cancer. Based on findings that ER transcriptional activation underlies response to estrogen therapy, we tested the effects of epigenetic dysregulation via pharmacological inhibition of histone deacetylases (HDACi).

Nonlinear Vibration Analysis of Turbocharger Rotor Supported on Rolling Bearing by Modified Incremental Harmonic Balance Method

open access: yesMachines
High-speed rolling bearings exhibit low friction, high mechanical efficiency, low lubrication requirements, and excellent acceleration performance. The replacement of floating ring bearings in turbochargers with rolling bearings is an important tendency ...

A Three-Dimensional Integrated Non-Linear Coordinate Control Framework for Combined Yaw- and Roll-Stability Control during Tyre Blow-Out

open access: yesSensors, 2021
A tyre blow-out can greatly affect vehicle stability and cause serious accidents. In the literature, however, studies on comprehensive three-dimensional vehicle dynamics modelling and stability control strategies in the event of a sudden tyre blow-out ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Acute caffeine treatment protects the developing retina from ischemia‐induced cell death

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Caffeine reduces cell death in the developing retina under ischemia (OGD). This effect does not involve BDNF upregulation or antioxidant pathways (NRF2/VEGF). Neuroprotection occurs mainly through adenosine A2A receptor antagonism, decreasing glutamate release and excitotoxicity, highlighting caffeine's potential as an acute neuroprotective agent in ...

Partition Learning for Multiagent Planning

open access: yesJournal of Robotics, 2012
Automated surveillance of large geographic areas and target tracking by a team of autonomous agents is a topic that has received significant research and development effort. The standard approach is to decompose this problem into two steps.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
