Phosphorylation‐Facilitated CKB Lactylation At K11 By GCN5 Enhances Creatine Kinase Activity and Mitigates Neuronal Damage After Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers hierarchical coordination between K11 lactylation and S199 phosphorylation of CKB in cerebral ischemia‐reperfusion injury. Such dual modifications potentiate CKB enzymatic function, remodel energy metabolism, alleviate oxidative stress and neuronal damage, and represent a viable therapeutic target for stroke treatment.

An investigation on vehicle overloading in Muar - Melaka road [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Vehicle overloading is considered as one of the most substantial concerns in road transport due to a possible road surface damage. The ability of a pavement structure in carrying out its function reduces in line with the increase of traffic load ...

GHRHR Deficiency Enhances Retinal Ganglion Cell Survival and Visual Functions in Experimental Glaucoma by Inhibiting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

Development and Verification of Test Procedures for Detecting Overloading and Improper Loading in Commercial Vehicles Using a High-Speed Weigh-in-Motion System: A Case Study in Republic of Korea

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Despite continued efforts by the Korean government to improve road safety, truck-related accidents remain disproportionately fatal, with a rate approximately 2.6 times higher than that of passenger vehicles.

The Effect of Flexible Pavement Mechanics on the Accuracy of Axle Load Sensors in Vehicle Weigh-in-Motion Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Weigh-in-Motion systems are tools to prevent road pavements from the adverse phenomena of vehicle overloading. However, the effectiveness of these systems can be significantly increased by improving weighing accuracy, which is now insufficient for direct

TPI1 Loss Triggers a Metabolite‐Driven Mitochondrial Redox Vulnerability via the SARM1–cADPR–Ca2+ Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metabolite‐driven redox stress governs cancer cell senescence. TPI1 deficiency elevates DHAP, initiating SARM1‐dependent cADPR‐Ca2+ release. Mitochondrial ROS surge subsequently induces DNA damage and senescence, offering a conserved therapeutic target in multiple cancers.
