A study of charging-dispatch strategies and vehicle-to-grid technologies for electric vehicles in distribution networks

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
Various electric vehicle charging and discharging strategies (EVs) and V2G technologies are discussed in this article as their impacts on energy distribution networks. The V2G application that can be used on vehicles offers many benefits, as demonstrated.

Design of overloading detection systems on vehicles using adruino

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract Developing countries such as Indonesia are currently continuously conducting development activities in the economic sector. The role of transportation facilities is very important. The reason is that economic movement is not only centered on one particular area but also reaches out and involves other regions.

Enhancement of Vehicle Safety and Improving Vehicle Yaw Behaviour Due to Offset Collisions Using Vehicle Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This study aims to optimise Vehicle Dynamic Control Systems (VDCS) in offset impact for vehicle collision mitigation. A proposed unique 3-D full-car mathematical model is developed and solved numerically to carry out this analysis. In this model, vehicle

ANGPTL4 Exacerbates Renal Injury in Diabetic Kidney Disease by Impairing Podocyte Lipophagy via Compromised Lysosomal Degradative Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In diabetic kidney disease, elevated podocyte ANGPTL4 is linked to reduced TFEB nuclear localization and compromised lysosomal degradative function. These changes impair podocyte lipophagy and promote lipid‐droplet accumulation and podocyte injury, which may contribute to renal injury progression.

Ion‐Driven Regulation of Ca2+ Flow by Ti/Zn Composite Activates ERK/MAPK Signaling and Maintains Mitochondrial Homeostasis to Promote Macrophage‐Mediated Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed interpenetrating Ti/Zn composite enables sustained Zn2+ release to regulate intracellular Ca2+ redistribution, preserve mitochondrial homeostasis, activate ERK/MAPK signaling, and promote M2 macrophage polarization, thereby enhancing osteoimmune‐mediated bone regeneration and peri‐implant osseointegration.

Analysis of Major Road Traffic Accident Causes Using a Combined Method of Association Rule and Complex Network

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation
To identify the key causes of major road traffic accidents (resulting in three or more deaths), this study constructed an accident causation network based on association rules and complex networks using data from 173 major traffic accidents over the past

Neuromorphic Optical Tracking and Imaging of Randomly Moving Targets Through Dynamic Dense Scattering Media

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Vision begins not with images but with change: the retina fires only when something moves, handing the brain a stream of spikes. A neuromorphic imaging system adopts the same strategy—an event sensor that sees like the retina, a spiking network that thinks like the brain—to track and reconstruct fully randomly moving targets through tissue (phantom ...

RIPK3 dampens mitochondrial bioenergetics and lipid droplet dynamics in metabolic liver disease

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
RIPK3 dampens mitochondrial bioenergetics and lipid droplet dynamics in metabolic liver disease. Abstract Background and Aims Receptor‐interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3) mediates NAFLD progression, but its metabolic function is unclear. Here, we aimed to investigate the role of RIPK3 in modulating mitochondria function, coupled with lipid droplet (LD)

Weigh-in-motion for Direct Enforcement of Overloaded Commercial Vehicles

open access: yesTransportation Research Procedia, 2016
AbstractHeavy commercial vehicle overloads contribute to premature deterioration of infrastructure and increase road unsafety and unfair competition between transport modes and operators. Public authorities and road operators must therefore implement an efficient checking system to enforce weights and dimensions at an affordable cost.
