Operating Vehicle Roll Stability
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1993<div class="htmlview paragraph">It is well understood and supported by more than a decade of statistical investigation that vehicles involved in on-road rollovers are generally out of control (e.g. spinout, side slide) prior to the roll, and that lateral stability is the primary vehicle parameter governing such occurrences. Although a rollover is

Stability of Rotating Space Vehicles
Proceedings of the IRE, 1960The problem of stabilizing space vehicles is considered, and it is shown that at least for some important applications the intrinsic stabilization obtained by rotation of the entire vehicle is advantageous. Investigations which have been made of natural methods for damping nutational vibrations of such rotating vehicles are discussed in the following ...

SAS and vehicle stability constraints
Europe Oceans 2005, 2005This paper gives a summary of synthetic aperture sonar technology, especially from the point of view of SAS design with respect to beamforming and micro-navigation constraints. In the first part of this paper, we recall the principle of synthetic aperture processing and self-calibration micro-navigation technique based on ping-to-ping cross-correlation

Nonlinear Vehicle Stability Analysis
2016This paper presents vehicle stability analysis for a nonlinear vehicle model based on phase plane behavior theorem. Vehicle models under pure lateral slip, constant velocity, and constant front steer were developed. Four-wheel, two-track vehicle model was evolved from the bicycle model and were extended to include vehicle roll dynamics.

Stability of buoyant underwater vehicles
International Shipbuilding Progress, 1977The stability of the motion of an underwater vehicle is usually examined for the condition of neutral buoyancy. In this paper the stability of an ascent to the surface under the action of positive buoyancy is examined. It is shown that both the longitudinal and the lateral motions may be unstable. Criteria are established.

Vehicle Dynamics, Stability and Control
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2014<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">In the last years the number of electronic controllers of vehicle dynamics applied to chassis components has increased dramatically. They use lookup table of the primary order vehicle global parameters as yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle, car velocity, that define ...

Color stability of artists' vehicles
Color Research & Application, 1978AbstractThe change in color of artists' oil paints caused by the vehicle was determined by normal aging and by an accelerated method. Two cycles causing yellowing followed by exposure to normal room illumination were conducted. Color is reported by the ASTM D 1925 Yellowness Index.

Optimal Stability of Vehicle Control
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1990<div class="htmlview paragraph">Using steering stability theory, the way of optimization of vehicle parameters is given in this paper. A suitable mechanical model of vehicle movement including its basic characteristics is defined. Then a methodology of qualitative estimate of control stability is given through:</div> <div class="htmlview

Fuzzy control for vehicle stability
2011 2nd International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Management Science and Electronic Commerce (AIMSEC), 2011An 8-dof vehicle nonlinear dynamic model was established with the linear 2-dof vehicle handling characteristics model as the target control. The vehicle stability control system yaw and yaw rate combined fuzzy control simulation model was established based on automobile yaw moment and vehicle state deviation between the dynamic relationship.
