Human‐Guided Bayesian Optimization Enables High‐Throughput Laser Annealing of Mesoporous SiOx Anodes for Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An empirical‐aided active learning framework is developed to optimize high‐throughput laser‐induced photothermal annealing of silicon suboxide anodes. By integrating probabilistic machine learning with empirical domain knowledge, this approach achieves optimal electrochemical performance using limited experiments.

Neuropeptide Y—Graphene Oxide Complexes Inhibit Amygdala NPY‐Receptor Expressing Glutamatergic Pathways and Selectively Remove Aversive Memory In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A graphene oxide nanocarrier presents neuropeptide Y specifically to NPY receptor‐expressing pathways in the amygdala, whose activation selectively suppresses aversive memory formation, without modulating anxiety responses. This circuit‐restricted drug release strategy may impact future design of neuropsychiatric therapies with limited off‐target ...

Overcoming Interfacial Hurdles in Solid‐State Aluminum Batteries for Safe and Energy‐Dense Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Solid‐state aluminum batteries (SSABs) promise high energy density and intrinsic safety but face severe solid–solid interfacial challenges. This review reveals the three core hurdles—anode passivation, cathode contact loss, and electrolyte grain boundary resistance and discusses strategies including artificial interphases, alloying, and composite ...

Vehicle-to-Grid Integration to Power Grids.

open access: yes, 2017
Increasing Electric Vehicle (EV) integration to power grid has created additional technical challenges by requiring additional power/energy for charging EVs. With the introduction of Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), EVs can strategically feed power stored in the batteries back to the power grid for grid supports, shifting their roles from traditional loads to ...
