Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

EFFECT OF PRE-COOLING PROCESS ON SAFE STORAGE OF PEACH FRUITS STORED UNDER DIFFERENT STORAGE CONDITIONS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Soil Sciences and Agricultural Engineering, 2010
A study was carried out to test and evaluate a portable pre-cooling unit. The effect of pre-cooling process on safe storage of the pre-cooled peach in comparison with the none cooled samples were also determined during storage process under two different

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

A three-dimensional study of a crustal low velocity region beneath the 9°03′N overlapping spreading center

open access: yes, 2003
Overlapping spreading centers (OSCs) play a key role in models of magma distribution at fast spreading ridges. To investigate the relationship between ridge-axis discontinuities and magma supply, we conducted a three-dimensional seismic reflection and ...

Baclofen, motion sickness susceptibility and the neural basis for velocity storage

open access: yes, 2008
Reduction of the dominant time constant (T(VOR)) of the angular vestibulo-ocular reflex (aVOR) by habituation is associated with a decrease in motion sickness susceptibility. Baclofen, a GABA(b) agonist, reduces the time constant of the velocity storage integrator in the aVOR in a dose-dependent manner.
