In patients undergoing hemodialysis with mildly reduced or preserved left ventricular ejection fraction, stronger diastolic LV untwisting supports blood pressure maintenance and is associated with improved survival. Impaired untwist, reflecting delayed diastolic recoil, predisposes to intradialytic hypotension and adverse outcomes.
