Continuous Theta Burst to Supplementary Motor Area Modulates Groove
ABSTRACT The pleasurable urge to move to music (“groove”) has been shown to be greatest for moderately complex musical rhythms. This is thought to occur because temporal predictions from the motor system reinforce our perception of the beat when there is a balance between expectation and surprise.

Abstract As people age, there is a natural decline in cognitive functioning and brain structure. However, the relationship between brain function and cognition in older adults is neither straightforward nor uniform. Instead, it is complex, influenced by multiple factors, and can vary considerably from one person to another.

Recent optical approaches for anatomical and functional dissection of neuron–astrocyte circuitry
Abstract figure legend This review summarises novel optical approaches to deciphering structural and functional wiring diagrams of neuron–astrocyte circuits in the brain. There are three groups: the anatomical proximity assay, transsynaptic viral tracing and the functional connection assay. The FRET‐based neuron–astrocyte proximity assay allows mapping
