Lithospheric and atmospheric interaction on the planet Venus [PDF]

open access: yes
Lithospheric and atmospheric interaction in the planet Venus are discussed. The following subject areas are covered: (1) manifestation of exogenic processes using photogeological data; (2) the chemical composition and a chemical model of the troposphere ...

Raman Spectroscopic Analysis and In Situ Heating Experiments on Adranosite Minerals

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
This study provides the first detailed Raman spectroscopic characterization of rare ammonium sulfates adranosite, iron‐rich adranosite, and adranosite‐(Fe) from volcanic and coal‐fire environments. Distinct spectral features reveal compositional differences and structural effects of Fe substitution.

Review of boundary model studies in the Venusian and Martian induced magnetosphere

open access: yes地球与行星物理论评
Although Venus and Mars do not have a global magnetic field but have atmospheres and ionospheres. During their coupling with the solar wind, the induced magnetospheres are created, as well as the boundaries of the bow shock and the magnetic pileup ...

The tectonics of Venus: An overview [PDF]

open access: yes
While the Pioneer Venus altimeter, Earth-based radar observatories, and the Venera 15-16 orbital imaging radars provided views of large-scale tectonic features on Venus at ever-increasing resolution, the radar images from Magellan constitute an ...

Venus transit 2004: Illustrating the capability of exoplanet transmission spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2011
The transit of Venus in 2004 offered the rare possibility to remotely sense a well-known planetary atmosphere using ground-based observations for absorption spectroscopy.

Light‐Based Molecular Tools to Precisely Monitor and Operate β‐Adrenoceptors

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT β‐Adrenoceptors are important G protein–coupled receptors involved in cardiovascular, metabolic, and neurological regulation. To study their function with high precision, light‐based molecular tools have been developed offering precise spatiotemporal control.

Studies on the small-scale magnetic flux ropes at Venus and Mars

open access: yes地球与行星物理论评
Magnetic flux ropes (MFRs) with twisted magnetic field lines are common in the solar system, most of which can be caused by magnetic reconnection or velocity shear.

Proteomic analysis of the pyrenoid-traversing membranes of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii reveals novel components. [PDF]

open access: yesNew Phytol
Summary Pyrenoids are algal CO2‐fixing organelles that mediate approximately one‐third of global carbon fixation. Most pyrenoids are traversed by membranes that are thought to supply them with concentrated CO2. Despite the critical nature of these membranes for pyrenoid function, they are poorly understood, with few protein components known in any ...

Laboratory evaluation of microwave absorption properties under simulated conditions for planetary atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yes
The microwave absorbing properties of gaseous sulfuric acid (H2SO4) under Venus atmospheric conditions are investigated. The results are applied to measurements from Mariner 5, Mariner 10, and Pioneer/Venus Radio Occultation experiments, to determine ...
