Detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus particles in Vero cells infected with passage 4 virus stocks.
A) After 4 passages of recovered wild type SARS-CoV-2 virus particles in Vero cells, naïve Vero cells were infected and fixed 72 h.p.i. Viral particles could be observed inside and outside of Vero cells indicated by red arrows. Scale bar, 2 μm. B) Higher

Favipiravir (T‐705) and the non‐fluorinated counterpart (T‐1106) are antiviral agents that inhibit the RNA‐dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) of various RNA viruses. The antiviral efficacy of nucleoside analogues is strongly dependent on their intracellular activation by cellular kinases to produce their corresponding triphosphate metabolites (T‐705‐RTP ...

The SARS‐CoV‐2 papain‐like protease (PLpro) is a medicinal chemistry target. Here we report mass spectrometry assays employing oligopeptide substrates based on the sequences of the viral polyproteins 1a/1ab and on an ISG15‐modified human protein, which enabled the identification of substrate‐selective PLpro inhibitors.

Cellular tropism and cell-to-cell fusion properties of the infectious bronchitis virus spike glycoprotein [PDF]
There are numerous vaccines available for the control of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) in poultry, however protection is short-lived and poorly cross-protective between strains.

Generation of Vero E6 cells stably expressing PEDV N.
Vero E6-N cells were generated by lentivirus transduction. Growth kinetics of Vero E6 and Vero E6-N cells were compared (A). PEDV N expression was analyzed by Western blotting of cell lysate (B) and immunofluorescence (C) with anti-PEDV N antibody ...

Pathway of rubella virus infectious entry into Vero cells
The mechanism and the kinetics of rubella virus (RV) penetration into Vero cells were studied. By using pronase or acid treatment to inactivate virus which had adsorbed to cell membrane but had not been internalized, it was found that a period of 7 h was required in order for all of the adsorbed virus to enter the host cells.

Abstract Background Culture protocols need to yield 100 million equine synovial fluid (SF)‐derived mesenchymal stromal cells (SF‐MSCs) in around 3 weeks are needed, before these cells can be evaluated as agents of articular repair in clinical trials. Objectives To investigate mass culture of equine SF‐MSC culture protocols using nonwoven polyethylene ...

Toxicity studies of natural product in vero cells using impedance monitoring
Natural products have traditionally been used for medicinal purposes in Asian communities. Toxicity studies typically use animal testing to predict the harmfulness of a particular substance to human health.
