Evaluation of vertical accuracy of interocclusal records.

The International journal of prosthodontics, 2003
The aim of this study was to evaluate four recording materials (polyether, polyvinyl siloxane, acrylic resin, and wax) for their ability to accurately record, maintain, and reproduce the vertical interocclusal relationship.A metallic apparatus was used to represent the opposing arches; its epoxy resin duplicate represented the working casts.

The accuracy of wave measurements made with vertical accelerometers

Deep Sea Research (1953), 1958
Abstract This paper examines theoretically the errors introduced into wave measurement by using an accelerometer which sets itself into the “apparent vertical”, that is, perpendicular to the local water surface, instead of being stabilised to measure the true vertical acceleration.

Vertical accuracy of the breakthrough of the tunnel

2008
Tunnels are the objects of road infrastructure which construction requires very complex, demanding, and responsible geodetic tasks. In the tunnelling, at first it is necessary to establish high quality geodetic control that serves as the base for the transfer of the planned tunnel axis in horizontal and vertical directions, as well as the base for all ...

An Examination of Various Cartometric Vertical Accuracy Tests

The Cartographic Journal, 1981
Abstract The various vertical map accuracy tests may be divided into cartometrically derived methods, in which the map is tested against more accurate material, and theoretically determined errors, in which accuracy is assumed to be a function of contour interval and planimetric error.

Evaluation of vertical accuracy of interocclusal recording materials.

Quintessence international (Berlin, Germany : 1985), 2009
To evaluate 4 interocclusal recording materials for their ability to reproduce accurately interocclusal relationships after a storage time of 1 or 48 hours.A custom-made metal apparatus was used to simulate the maxilla and mandible. The vertical discrepancies were measured by a precision dial gauge. Eight inter-occlusal records were made in each of the

Auditory localization in the vertical plane: Accuracy and constraint on bodily movement

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1987
In two preliminary experiments, listeners were instructed to limit increasingly the movement of their heads and/or bodies while attempting to localize narrow bands of noise centered on 2.3 or 8.3 kHz. With increasing constraint on movement, the high-frequency band was incorrectly perceived as elevated above the horizon.

Validation of the Submetric Accuracy of Vertical Positioning of PSs in C-Band

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2008
The permanent scatterers (PSs) technique is an operational tool in the context of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar interferometry for monitoring the displacement of radar targets with millimetric accuracy. Recently, the target localization capability of the PS technique has been subject of study, and the possibility of generating digital elevation ...

Validation of accuracy of WAsP in vertical wind profile prediction

Journal of Renewable and Sustainable Energy, 2014
Wind, the most industrialized form of renewable energy is always fond of extrapolations and predictions. The imperfection in extrapolation and prediction techniques may feed the uncertainty in wind speed values and hence have a great negative influence in energy estimation.

ACCURACY OF HEIGHTING FROM VERTICAL PHOTOGRAPHY OBTAINED BY HELICOPTER

The Photogrammetric Record, 1969
AbstractExperimental photography at scales up to 1 : 500 has been taken and analysed, subsequently, using Zeiss C8 and Wild A8 instruments. Results indicate that a 25 mm contour interval may be achieved on reliable surfaces, such as roads and aerodrome runways.
