Integrating Lateral Super‐Resolution and Axial Progression Reveals Distinct Clathrin Pit Formation Pathways

open access: yesTraffic, Volume 27, Issue 3, September 2026.
Variable‐angle total internal reflection fluorescence structured illumination microscopy (vaTIRF‐SIM) links nanoscale lateral organization with axial progression during clathrin‐mediated endocytosis. Super‐resolved TIRF‐SIM images resolve the lateral architecture of AP2‐labeled clathrin coats, while corresponding Z‐index maps report relative axial ...

Corundum Discovered by SuperCam and the Perseverance Rover at Jezero Crater, Mars

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 16, 28 August 2026.
Abstract Mars is primarily composed of mafic mineral assemblages and their alteration products, but small, scattered rocks strewn across the landscape offer clues to greater petrological diversity. While traversing the Jezero crater rim, the Perseverance rover encountered several plagioclase‐rich light‐toned float rocks.

Inverse Drexhage Effect in Epsilon‐Near‐Zero Substrates

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 15, 13 August 2026.
Radiative emission of dipoles near substrates is shown to reverse between (a) perfect electric conductors and (b) epsilon‐near‐zero (ENZ) media. The schematic highlights switch from vertical to horizontal dipole dominance, governed by interference with image dipoles, leading to directional emission into the upper half‐space and enabling new strategies ...

Ultra‐Broadband Optical Characterization of TiO2 Nanotube Arrays Revealing Annealing‐Tunable THz Absorption

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 15, 13 August 2026.
Lithography‐free spaced TiO2 NT arrays unlock tunable broadband absorption from THz to UV. By harnessing annealing‐driven phase transitions, strong phonon–polariton resonances emerge in the 1.4–3.6 THz range, whereas high absorptance persists beyond 10 THz.
