Refining the timing of Middle Pleistocene (MIS 12 to MIS 6) ice advances into northern central Europe: sedimentological analysis and single‐grain luminescence dating of glaciotectonic complexes and tunnel‐valley fills

We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.

Positive modulation of glucagon‐like peptide 1 (GLP‐1) receptor by endogenous haemorphins with implications in glucose metabolism and diabetes

Haemorphins act on GLP‐1 receptor (GLP‐1R) activity and signalling in a positive allosteric manner. This leads to potentiated GLP‐1‐mediated activity and signalling, as well as insulin synthesis, which may have implications for glucose metabolism and, thereby, diabetes and obesity. SC‐550: A Sintered Calcite Reference Material for In Situ U‐Pb Geochronology

Key Points New calcite reference material (SC‐550) produced by high‐temperature and high‐pressure sintering of nano‐particulate powder from a microbial limestone. Homogeneous U content (2.3 ± 0.4 μg g‐1) and U‐Pb isotope ratios (< 0.6% RSD for 207Pb/206Pb; < 3% RSD for 238U/206Pb).
