BLOOD VESSEL DIAMETER MEASUREMENT ON RETINAL IMAGE [PDF]
Accurate measurement of vessel diameters on retinal images plays an important part in diagnosing cardiovascular diseases and early signs of certain systemic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertensio n. In this study we develop new method based on computer aided to determine the width of retinal blood vessels by analysing the color fundus image ...

Neurovascular Contacts in the Pathophysiology of Neuralgic Amyotrophy: An Observational Study
ABSTRACT Objective Neuralgic amyotrophy (NA) is a prevalent, monophasic, multifocal immune‐mediated neuropathy. A distinctive characteristic of the disease is the occurrence of nerve or fascicle constrictions and torsions (NA‐associated focal nerve lesions, NAFL). The pathophysiology underlying this phenomenon remains to be fully elucidated.

ABSTRACT Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome (MSMDS) is an ultra‐rare, ACTA2‐related disorder characterized by severe cerebrovascular disease, aortic aneurysms, and smooth muscle dysfunction. Using molecular dynamics simulations and in silico drug screening, we identified that sapropterin dihydrochloride (Kuvan) is a candidate capable of ...

White Matter and Perivascular Imaging Changes in Alzheimer's Disease and Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy
ABSTRACT Objective Peak‐width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD) and diffusion tensor imaging–analysis along the perivascular space (DTI‐ALPS), reflecting white matter integrity and glymphatic function, are altered in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Interstitial lung disease (IRD‐ILD) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with inflammatory rheumatic disorders (IRD). High‐resolution computed tomography (HRCT) is widely considered the gold standard for the non‐invasive assessment of ILD; however, its interpretation is constrained by substantial inter‐observer variability and ...
