Classification of teleparallel Horndeski cosmology via Noether symmetries

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
Teleparallel Horndeski theory offers an avenue through which to circumvent the speed constraint of gravitational waves in an efficient manner. However, this provides an even larger plethora of models due to the increase in action terms.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Hyperspectral Image Classification via Matching Absorption Features

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we propose to extract spectral absorptions as the discriminative features to classify hyperspectral imagery. Different from previous researches that mainly take hyperspectral curves as high-dimensional inputs, we analyze hyperspectral data

Classification in Twitter via Compressive Sensing [PDF]

open access: yes2015 IEEE Conference on Computer Communications Workshops (INFOCOM WKSHPS), 2015
In this paper we introduce a novel low dimensional method to perform topic detection and classification in Twitter. The proposed method first employs Joint Complexity to perform topic detection. Then, based on the nature of the data, we apply the theory of Compressive Sensing to perform topic classification by recovering an indicator vector, while ...
