Through Diamond Robust Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thin film diamond growth offers a unique opportunity for Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS); the encapsulation of plasmonic nanostructures within a transparent, chemically stable, and physically robust coating. The diamond acts as both a window and protective layer, enabling illumination of the plasmonic nanostructures through the diamond ...

Magnetic Force Microscopy Signatures of Higher‐Order Skyrmions and Antiskyrmions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic force microscopy operated under vacuum conditions enables the qualitative identification of higher‐order skyrmions and antiskyrmions in Co/Ni multilayers at room temperature. Distinct stray‐field contrast signatures arise from vertical Bloch lines and complex domain‐wall configurations.

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Optimizations of distributed dynamic vibration absorbers for suppressing vibrations in plates

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control, 2018
Dynamic vibration absorber is an ideal device for vibration control at specific frequencies. In order to get a robust vibration control performance, multiple or distributed dynamic vibration absorbers are usually used for suppressing vibrations in plate ...

Ultrastable Photoactive Halide Perovskite Nanocrystal‐Sensitized SnO2 Nanorods for Room‐Temperature NO2 Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metal oxide (MOx)‐based NO2 gas sensors typically require high temperatures or ultraviolet light, limiting their practical use. To enable visible‐light activation at room temperature, efficient and stable photosensitizers should be integrated with nanostructured MOx hosts.

Design and Analysis of a Moment of Inertia Adjustment Device

open access: yesMachines
The vibration frequency characteristics of a rotor system are directly related to its moment of inertia. In this paper, a moment of inertia adjustment device is proposed to adjust the frequency characteristics of a rotor system and better reduce ...

Research on vehicle-rail coupling vibration at turnout and suppression method of medium and low speed maglev vehicle

open access: yes机车电传动, 2022
In the medium and low speed maglev vehicle-rail coupling system, the turnout is an important part of the line change of the maglev vehicle, and its main beam mostly adopts the web or box-shaped steel beam structure with relatively low modal frequency and

Enzyme-free release of adhered cells from standard culture dishes using intermittent ultrasonic traveling waves. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Cell detachment is essential in culturing adherent cells. Trypsinization is the most popular detachment technique, even though it reduces viability due to the damage to the membrane and extracellular matrix.
