Response analysis of the vibro-impact system under fractional-order joint random excitation

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control
As a kind of good damping material, viscoelastic material is widely used in machinery, civil engineering, and other fields. In this paper, the viscoelasticity of the system is described by fractional differentiation.

The Vibro-Impact Response of a Nonharmonically Excited System.

open access: yesJSME International Journal Series C, 2000
The nonlinear response of a one-dimensional oscillator with two-sided amplitude constraints or with a single-sided amplitude constraint which is preloaded against a stop and subjected to nonharmonic excitation is investigated. Positive clearance and preload systems are discussed.

Palaeolandscape reconstruction of a shallow coastal embayment in Kattegat, Denmark—influence of sea‐level changes during the latest Pleistocene and Holocene

open access: yesBoreas, Volume 55, Issue 2, Page 560-584, April 2026.
We analyse the geological processes of a coastal embayment in the Kattegat. Using high‐resolution seismic data and sediment cores, we describe a geological evolution from glacial to shallow marine stages with a variety of preserved facies from different depositional settings, including glacio‐lacustrine, telmatic, limnic and coastal environments.

Optimization of Process Parameters for Horizontal Vibro-Separator with Dynamic Motion Analysis

open access: yesITEGAM-JETIA
To optimize operating parameters, this paper conducted a dynamic motion analysis of a reciprocating vibro separator. This work examined the impact of motor speed and angle to determine the vibro separator's flow rate.

Classification of Chaotic Signals of the Recurrence Matrix Using a Convolutional Neural Network and Verification through the Lyapunov Exponent

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
This study classified chaotic time series data, including smooth and nonsmooth problems in a dynamic system, using a convolutional neural network (CNN) and verified it through the Lyapunov exponent. For this, the classical nonlinear differential equation

Wire Arc Directed Energy Deposition of Aluminum–B4C Composites

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Ceramic Technology, Volume 23, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The scalable fabrication of structural‐grade aluminum metal matrix composites (A‐MMCs) remains constrained by inherent limitations of conventional processing routes and laser‐based additive manufacturing (AM) methods. In this work, we demonstrate the development of a hybrid wire arc directed energy deposition (WA‐DED) platform for the near‐net‐

Proprioceptive integration in motor control

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 8, Page 3431-3456, 15 April 2026.
Abstract figure legend A virtual reality (VR)‐based reaching task reveals how proprioceptive feedback affects the perceived and actual movement speed of active movements, as well as the perceived hand position. When an antagonist vibration was applied, subjects tended to overestimate their movement speed while also decreasing their actual movement ...

Vibro-Impact Response of a Cracked Bar

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2011
The presence of a crack in a structure affects its dynamic behaviour under working conditions. Cracks introduce nonlinearities into the system; the use of such nonlinearities for damage detection should be investigated.

Stable Model Reduction for Time‐Domain Room Acoustics: A Structure‐Preserving Formulation for Complex Boundaries

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 5, 15 March 2026.
ABSTRACT This work presents novel structure‐preserving formulations for stable model order reduction in the context of time‐domain room acoustics simulations. A solution to address the instability in conventional model order reduction formulations based on the Linearized Euler Equations is derived and validated through numerical experiments.

Energy Maximisation and Power Management for a Wave-to-Wire Model of a Vibro-Impact Wave Energy Converter Array

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This paper develops a wave-to-wire model of a vibro-impact wave energy converter array for stand-alone offshore applications. Nonlinear model predictive control is proposed for maximising the wave power capture of the array, and implemented by AC/DC ...
