Vida con palas [PDF]

open access: yesAntípoda. Revista de Antropología y Arqueología, 2006
Are the spades a useful category in the analysis, understanding and narration of their participation in past social life? Through the analysis and discussion of the diverse practical contexts of which the spades were part of, the ways in which these artifacts were categorized and participated actively in the constitution of the subjects, the domestic ...

Reenvisioning the De Mayo Reaction: A Boron‐Enabled Cycloaddition Approach

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
An oxa‐boracycle conformational lock strategy enables photocatalytic [2+2] cycloaddition to afford densely substituted cyclobutylboronates. The conformational constraint suppresses triplet relaxation and promotes productive bimolecular reactivity.

DNA prime and peptide boost immunization elicits robust neoantigen-specific CD8 + T cell responses and therapeutic protection in mouse tumor models

open access: yesOncoImmunology
Therapeutic immunization against tumor neoantigens has the potential to induce potent and highly selective CD8+ T-cell-mediated antitumor immunity. Consequently, immunization strategies that generate robust neoantigen-specific T-cell responses are needed.

Vaccination-induced skin-resident memory CD8+ T cells mediate strong protection against cutaneous melanoma

open access: yesOncoImmunology, 2018
Memory CD8+ T cell responses have the potential to mediate long-lasting protection against cancers. Resident memory CD8+ T (Trm) cells stably reside in non-lymphoid tissues and mediate superior innate and adaptive immunity against pathogens.

Lymphodepleting preconditioning impairs host antitumor immunity induced by adoptive T cell therapy in mouse models

open access: yesNature Communications
Adoptive T cell therapy (ACT) is effective against hematologic cancers, but the mechanisms underlying durable responses in solid tumors remain unclear.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Association Between Motor Pathway Damage and Motor Deficit in Upper and Lower Limb in People With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Corticospinal tract damage is common in people with MS, but the degree of clinical symptoms varies. We hypothesize that corticospinal tract lesions are more extensive and severe in people with MS with motor impairments in both upper and lower limbs.
