Pole Restraining Control of a Vienna Rectifier
2019 21st European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE '19 ECCE Europe), 2019Self-commutated rectifiers for power factor correction are time-variant and nonlinear systems. Due to this fact, it is disadvantageous to model and control the rectifier by using the linear-time invariant control theory. In this article, a multivariable state-feedback controller for a Vienna Rectifier has been developed by using the Pole-Restraining ...

Simplified SVPWM Method for the Vienna Rectifier
2019 20th Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics (COMPEL), 2019In this paper, a simplified Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique for the Vienna rectifier is presented. Furthermore, the robustness of this modulation technique is tested under various faults. A MATLAB/Simulink model for the 70 kW Vienna rectifier model is implemented and the results are provided.

Modeling and classical control of unidirectional Vienna rectifiers
2012 Electric Power Quality and Supply Reliability, 2012Operation of a unidirectional Vienna rectifier is described in the paper using basic electrical circuit laws only without referring to the space vector theory, typically employed in the literature. An average model is derived for a general unbalanced load and classical control theory is employed to construct the control laws for a three-loop control ...

Modelling and Control of Single Phase VIENNA Rectifier
2016 International Conference on Industrial Informatics - Computing Technology, Intelligent Technology, Industrial Information Integration (ICIICII), 2016Compared with the traditional two-level or three-level unidirectional rectifier, VIENNA rectifier is the favorite choice for its advantages such as only half numbers of the switches, simple structure, high power density and ability to realize unity power factor with appropriate control strategy.

A fast stable control scheme for VIENNA rectifier
2015 18th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2015This paper establish the mathematical model of VIENNA rectifier in d-q synchronous reference frame, after analyzed the variables' relationship and all of the switches on-off states and then proposed a novel scheme for fast response of VIENNA rectifier. And transfer the result signal into a-P coordinate to analyze the relationship of the signal. At last

Sliding Mode Variable Structure Control on Vienna Rectifier
2020 Chinese Control And Decision Conference (CCDC), 2020Based on the mathematical model of Vienna rectifier, the controller of Vienna rectifier is researched and designed . The voltage outer loop adopt the sliding mode variable structure control (SMC), in order to obtain a stable DC output voltage when Vienna rectifier is starting or is affected by the load disturbance and so on. The deviation of the output

Critical Conduction Mode Three-Phase Vienna Rectifier
2020 9th International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Application (ICRERA), 2020This paper proposed a novel analog-based critical conduction mode (CRM) control method for the three-phase three-level Vienna rectifier. By the proposed method, the simple analog CRM control can be achieved in each phase of the Vienna rectifier. All the control schemes are implemented with three low-cost analog CRM PFC IC controllers.

A Hybrid Control Scheme for Three-Phase Vienna Rectifiers
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2018Vienna rectifier is a kind of power converter with complicated operating constraints. Thus, it is difficult to control with conventional control strategies, especially during transients or under low power factor operation. This study proposes a hybrid control scheme with dual loops for the three-phase Vienna rectifier.
