Different power supplies for different machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Each time a new accelerator is built, the question of the right choice of technology for the power supplies (PS) is raised again. No specific advice can be given since the demands on the units as well as the available budget have a strong influence on ...

Surface‐Interaction‐Driven Polarity Switching in II–V Cd3P2 Colloidal Quantum Dots for Infrared Photodiodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) based on II–V semiconductors offer attractive optical absorption and carrier transport properties for infrared optoelectronics, yet their device‐relevant electronic behavior remains poorly understood. In particular, Cd3P2 CQDs have been constrained by limited control over nanocrystal growth and carrier polarity.

Epitaxial Growth of p‐Type β‐Ga2O3 Thin Films and Demonstration of a p–n Diode

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 7, 6 April 2026.
This study demonstrates p‐type conductivity in β‐Ga2O3 via Te–Mg co‐doping using MOCVD. The films show tunable hole concentrations up to 1.78×1017 cm−3, and a fabricated p–n diode exhibits rectifying behavior. Density functional theory reveals that Te introduces an intermediate band, lowering the Mg acceptor ionization energy and enabling p‐type ...

Prediction of Structural Stability of Layered Oxide Cathode Materials: Combination of Machine Learning and Ab Initio Thermodynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, we developed a phase‐stability predictor by combining machine learning and ab initio thermodynamics approaches, and identified the key factors determining the favorable phase for a given composition. Specifically, a lower TM ionic potential, higher Na content, and higher mixing entropy favor the O3 phase.

Feed-forward Space Vector Modulation for Single-Phase Multilevel Cascade Converters with any DC voltage ratio [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Modulation techniques for multilevel converters can create distorted output voltages and currents if the DC link voltages are unbalanced. This situation can be avoided if the instantaneous DC voltage error is not taken into account in the modulation ...

Beyond mammals: the evolution of chewing and other forms of oropharyngeal food processing in vertebrates

open access: yesBiological Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Oropharyngeal food processing exhibits a remarkable diversity among vertebrates, reflecting the evolution of specialised ‘processing centres’ associated with the mandibular, hyoid, and branchial arches. Although studies have detailed various food‐processing strategies and mechanisms across vertebrates, a coherent and comprehensive terminology ...

ESG Decoupling Phenomenon: A Systematic and Bibliometric Analysis

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT ESG decoupling, defined as the gap between a firm's ESG disclosures and its actual practices, poses a critical challenge to corporate sustainability. Using the PRISMA protocol, 451 articles were selected for a comprehensive bibliometric and systematic literature review to map the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of the research on

Research of Vector Control of Vienna Rectifier Based on SVPWM

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2011
In view of problems of big switching loss and complex control of three-level rectifier, the paper proposed a vector control strategy of Vienna rectifier based on SVPWM.
