SummaryResults of this study indicate that heparin can inhibit the lethal effects of Russell's Viper venom in a dose-response manner. This protective activity was also demonstrated with other sulfated mucopolysaccharides of the connective tissue and with sulfated polysaccharides of exogenous origin.
