Bioinformatics and Multiepitope DNA Immunization to Design Rational Snake Antivenom [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Snake venom is a potentially lethal and complex mixture of hundreds of functionally diverse proteins that are difficult to purify and hence difficult to characterize. These difficulties have inhibited the development of toxin-targeted therapy,

Abstract The hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) hosts the central circadian pacemaker and regulates daily rhythms in physiology and behavior. The SCN is composed of peptidergic neuron populations expressing arginine vasopressin (AVP) and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP), as well as glial cells.

The VIMOS Public Extragalactic Survey (VIPERS): First Release of spectra [PDF]
We release the spectra for the more than 57000 objects presented in the First VIPERS Data Release. For each object we distribute the observed, wavelength and flux calibrated spectrum, as well as cleaned spectra, where artifacts due to fringing are removed. We also provide the sky and noise spectrum and the 2D spectrum. Data can be downloaded from http:/

Vibrationally resolved electronic spectra including vibrational pre-excitation: Theory and application to VIPER spectroscopy [PDF]
Vibrationally resolved electronic absorption spectra including the effect of vibrational pre-excitation are computed in order to interpret and predict vibronic transitions that are probed in the Vibrationally Promoted Electronic Resonance (VIPER) experiment [L. J. G. W. van Wilderen et al., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 53, 2667 (2014)]. To this end, we employ

Staged ecologies: Aesthetics, nature and infrastructure in the late‐modern metropolis
Short Abstract This paper examines the relationship between urban nature and landscape design within a £1.5 billion regeneration project that is currently unfolding in Thamesmead, a town in south‐east London. It develops the notion of ‘staged ecologies’ to examine how urban nature is being spatially and aesthetically arranged across the town's ...

Neutralization of Pit Viper Venom by King Snake Serum.
SummaryKing snake serum, detoxicated by heating, and in doses well below toxic levels protected white mice against as high as 7 LD50's of moccasin venom injected intraperitoneally, when serum and venom were mixed in vitro or injected separately A protective action against rattlesnake venom was also demonstrated. Wyeth's polyvalent antivenin used by the

VENOM: A Vectorized N:M Format for Unleashing the Power of Sparse Tensor Cores [PDF]
The increasing success and scaling of Deep Learning models demands higher computational efficiency and power. Sparsification can lead to both smaller models as well as higher compute efficiency, and accelerated hardware is becoming available. However, exploiting it efficiently requires kernel implementations, pruning algorithms, and storage formats, to
