Blood Biomarkers of Helicobacter pylori‐Infected Chronic Gastritis in Active Versus Stable Phases: A Clinical Indicator Analysis Combined With Proteomic and Metabolomic Investigations

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
Combining clinical data with serum proteomics and metabolomics, the HGB–CAPZB–acetic acid model was developed as a potential diagnostic index to distinguish the active and stable stages of Helicobacter pylori‐infected chronic gastritis, and the related mechanism was explored through multi‐omics.

Discontinuous sequence change of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1 env sequences in plasma viral and lymphocyte-associated proviral populations in vivo:implications for models of HIV pathogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Sequence change in different hypervariable regions of the external membrane glycoprotein (gp120) of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) was studied.

Exploring biomarkers of the viral reservoir and anti-viral CD8+ T cell responses : towards a functional cure of HIV-1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
: Antiretroviral therapy (ART) halts progression to AIDS but is not curative due to persisting viral reservoirs in CD4 + T cells. Therefore patients depend on lifelong drug intake accompanied with potential side effects, drug resistance and heightened ...

500 Quantification of the HIV reservoir in the gut-associated lymphoid tissue

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Translational Science
OBJECTIVES/GOALS: The major obstacle to an effective cure or remission for HIV infection is the integration of HIV into the genome of long-lived resting cells which constitute the so-called viral reservoir.

Microbiome‐mediated plant‐soil feedbacks as a tool for resilient agriculture

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Translating plant‐soil feedbacks (PSFs) into reliable agricultural management requires shifting from input‐dependent practices toward endogenous, process‐driven crop resilience. To bridge this gap, we propose a predictive framework centered on three strategic interventions: engineering the crop holobiont, diversifying the soil habitat, and deploying ...

The plant microbiome: From ecological foundations to precision microbial engineering for sustainable agriculture

open access: yesiMeta, EarlyView.
From ecological principles to precision engineering of plant microbiomes for sustainable agriculture. The plant holobiont integrates diverse microbial niches (including rhizosphere, endosphere, phyllosphere, seed, and aerial‐root mucilagesphere), host genetics (namely M genes), and host metabolites. Furthermore, molecular dialogues, including rhizobial

SIV Env RhmAbs + N-803 at ART initiation prolongs viral decay without disrupting reservoir establishment in SIV-infected infant macaques.

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens
The latent viral reservoir remains the major barrier to HIV cure, placing the burden of strict adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) on people living with HIV to prevent recrudescence of viremia.

Enhanced peripheral blood mononuclear cell lipid metabolism drives poor immunotherapy response via ferroptotic stress‐induced T cell exhaustion in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Integrated multi‐omics reveals that CD36‐mediated lipid overload in PBMCs drives T cell exhaustion via sub‐lethal ferroptotic stress and AKT suppression. This systemic metabolic signature serves as a robust predictor of immunotherapy response in HCC, suggesting that modulating lipid metabolism can rescue immune fitness.

Organ‐Specific Human Microbiomes and Dysbiosis: Mechanistic Links to Disease and Emerging Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
Schematic overview of the human microbiome and major microbiota‐derived metabolites across body sites, highlighting the gut–brain, gut–heart, and gut–kidney axes in host physiology and disease. ABSTRACT Background The human microbiome is a dynamic and diverse community of microorganisms that affects susceptibility to illness and promotes wellness ...
