High‐Latitude Electrodynamics and Thermospheric Density Variations During the 2024 Gannon Storm

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract This study investigates high‐latitude electrodynamics and thermospheric density variations during the 2024 Gannon's storm. First, the auroral precipitation module of Auroral Spectra and High‐Latitude Electric field variabilitY, ASHLEY‐A, is improved to more accurately capture the location of auroral precipitation observed during this ...

Leveraging machine learning and accelerometry to classify animal behaviours with uncertainty

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, Volume 17, Issue 2, Page 567-584, February 2026.
Abstract Animal‐worn sensors have revolutionised the study of animal behaviour and ecology. Accelerometers, which measure changes in acceleration across planes of movement, are increasingly being used in conjunction with machine learning models to classify animal behaviours across taxa and research questions.

Evidence for Virtual Source‐Receiver Refractions in Cross Correlations of Infrasonic Ambient Noise

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Seasonal variability in source activity and atmospheric temperature were retrieved from 11 years of infrasonic ambient noise. Variable lag times between an array and single microbarometer were obtained from envelopes of cross‐correlation functions. Beamforming and one‐bit normalization significantly enhanced the stationary phase.
