Using Iterative MapReduce for Parallel Virtual Screening

2013 IEEE 5th International Conference on Cloud Computing Technology and Science, 2013
Virtual Screening is a technique in chemo informatics used for Drug discovery by searching large libraries of molecule structures. Virtual Screening often uses SVM, a supervised machine learning technique used for regression and classification analysis. Virtual screening using SVM not only involves huge datasets, but it is also compute expensive with a

Iterative Generation of Virtual Reference for a Manipulator

Robotica, 1991
SUMMARYVirtual reference is defined as the signal for a closed-loop System so that the response tracks the desired path perfectly. It is proposed to obtain a virtual reference signal suitable for a manipulator to track a predetermined trajectory using repetitive operations.

Virtual Implementation in Iteratively Undominated Strategies: Complete Information

Econometrica, 1992
Summary: We investigate the implementation of social choice functions in complete information environments. We consider social choice functions (scf's) which map from a finite set of preference profiles to lotteries over alternatives, and require virutal implementation in iteratively undominated strategies.

An iterative virtual-ESPRIT algorithm (IVESPA)

Proceedings of 8th Workshop on Statistical Signal and Array Processing, 2002
An iterative algorithm (IVESPA) for narrow-band direction-finding and waveform recovery is presented which is based on the virtual-ESPRIT (VESPA) of Dogan and Mendel (see IEEE Trans. on Signal Processing, vol.42, no.5, p.1200, 1995). IVESPA can handle the case where the data length is short and some of the sources have very small higher-order ...

Iterative Decoding of Virtual Differentially Coded OFDM Systems

2015 IEEE 81st Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2015
This paper describes a virtual differentially coded system without a differential encoder at the transmitter and channel estimates at the receiver. Without the assistance of a differential encoder, a differential decoder detects a linearly multiplexed symbol that is constituted by two transmitted symbols in different times.
