Virtual prototyping of tilting and lifting mechanism in ITER tractor

2008 International Conference on Information and Automation, 2008
ITER (international thermonuclear experimental reactor) tractor is an in-cask remote handling equipment, and its tilting and lifting mechanism is very important for the tractor to operate 45t plug in front of the ports of the hot cell and the VV (vacuum vessel) successfully.

Iteratively Inferring Gene Regulatory Networks with Virtual Knockout Experiments

2004
In this paper we address the problem of finding gene regulatory networks from experimental DNA microarray data. We introduce enhancements to an Evolutionary Algorithm optimization process to infer the parameters of the non-linear system given by the observed data more reliably and precisely.

Microwave Imaging via Distorted Iterated Virtual Experiments

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2017
The linearity of the scattering phenomenon with respect to primary sources allows to recombine a posteriori the available experiments and build, in a synthetic fashion, new 'virtual' experiments. Starting from this circumstance, an iterative procedure is proposed as an effective approach to tackle nonlinear inverse scattering problems.

An Iterative Construction of Chord Degree Invariants for Virtual Knots

Journal of Knot Theory and Its Ramifications
We introduce a class of virtual knot invariants, called chord index invariants, and develop a general framework for lifting them to more refined, higher-order invariants. Applying this procedure to the affine index polynomial, we obtain the first-order refinement, termed the R invariant, and the second-order refinement, the S invariant. We collectively
