Integrating Patient‐Reported Quality Measures in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Development of the American College of Rheumatology Implementation Guide

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To support high‐quality, patient‐centered care for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) developed evidence‐based measures incorporating clinical and patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs). Using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), we conducted semistructured interviews ...

Building a Framework for Sexual and Reproductive Health Care in the Rheumatology Context: Content and Approaches

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
People with systemic autoimmune and rheumatic diseases (SARDs) are at higher risk than the general population of experiencing adverse pregnancy and perinatal outcomes such as preeclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction, and maternal and/or fetal death.

Virtual high-resolution for sensor networks [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 4th international conference on Embedded networked sensor systems, 2006
The resolution at which a sensor network collects data is a crucial parameter of performance since it governs the range of applications that are feasible to be developed using that network. A higher resolution, in most situations, enables more applications and improves the reliability of existing ones.

A virtual sensor for backlash in robotic manipulators

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 2022
AbstractGear backlash is a quite serious problem in industrial robots, it causes vibrations and impairs the robot positioning accuracy. Backlash estimation allows targeted maintenance interventions, preserving robot performances and avoiding unforeseen equipment breakdowns.

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Development of a Virtual Collision Sensor for Industrial Robots

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Collision detection is a fundamental issue for the safety of a robotic cell. While several common methods require specific sensors or the knowledge of the robot dynamic model, the proposed solution is constituted by a virtual collision sensor for ...
