The switching decomposition pulse width modulation with reduced common mode voltage for reduced switch counts neutral point clamped inverter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2023
Compared with a conventional three‐levelconverter, a reduced switch counts three‐level neutral point clamped (RSC‐3LNPC) inverter uses only 10 switching devices to achieve three‐leveloutput at a lower cost.

Fault-Tolerant Operation of a Six-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Hub Motor Based on Model Predictive Current Control with Virtual Voltage Vectors

open access: yes, 2023
This paper proposes a model predictive current control (MPCC) compensation method based on virtual voltage vectors for single-phase open-circuit faults of an asymmetric six-phase permanent magnet synchronous hub motor (PMHSM).

An analogous carrier‐based implementation of virtual space vector modulation with low common‐mode voltage and neutral‐point voltage oscillation elimination for three‐level NPC inverter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2023
Balancing control of neutral‐point voltage (NPV) and reducing common‐mode voltage (CMV) are crucial for a three‐level neutral‐point‐clamped (NPC) inverter.

Spontaneously broken technicolor and the dynamics of virtual vector technimesons

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1993
We propose spontaneously breaking technicolor, thus liberating techniquarks and suppressing large resonance contributions to the electroweak $S$ parameter. The dynamics is modeled by a fermion bubble approximation to a single massive techni--gluon exchange potential. This contains a Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model with additional interactions.

Fault Tolerance in Direct Torque Control with Virtual Voltage Vectors

open access: yesRevista Iberoamericana de Automática e Informática Industrial RIAI, 2019
Reliability is considered a fundamental requirement of some variable-speed electric drives. Therefore, multiphase systems, which introduce a higher fault tolerance than conventional three-phase ones, turn out to be an interesting alternative for these ...

Virtual-vector-based space vector pulse width modulation of the DC-AC multilevel-clamped multilevel converter (MLC2)

open access: yes, 2011
This work presents the development of the space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) of a new multi-level converter topology. First, the proposed converter and its natural space vector diagram are presented. Secondly, a modified space vector diagram

Novel Virtual Vector SVPWM Method to Mitigate Low-Frequency Common Mode Voltage for Four-Level NPC Inverters

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a novel virtual vector space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) method called Average Zero common mode voltage (AZCMV) PWM to mitigate low-frequency CMV in four-level neutral point clamped (4L-NPC) inverters.
