A Varied VSVM Strategy for Balancing the Neutral-Point Voltage of DC-Link Capacitors in Three-Level NPC Converters

open access: yesEnergies, 2015
In the research field of multilevel converters, three-level NPC (neutral-point-clamped) converters, which unfortunately may cause the deviation of the neutral-point voltage of DC-link capacitors, are widely discussed.

Virtual Subspace-Based DTC Strategy for Torque Ripple Minimization in Six-Phase Induction Motors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Classical switching-table-based direct torque control (ST-DTC) of six-phase induction machine (6PIM) drives is seriously penalized by current harmonics as well as torque ripples because of uncontrolled voltage vectors in the low-impedance non-energy ...

Design and evaluation of a three‐dimensional virtual laboratory on vector operations [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Applications in Engineering Education, 2019
AbstractIn Physics, many quantities are vectors, and their use requires typical operations such as addition, subtraction, scalar multiplication, scalar product (dot product), vector product (cross product), and scalar triple product. This is a very basic topic in all General Physics courses for Engineering degrees.

Adaptive Observer for Coupled Wave PDE and Infinite ODE With Sampled Data and Unknown Input: Application to Brain Hemodynamics Estimation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Virtual Screening of Molecular Databases Using a Support Vector Machine [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2005
The Support Vector Machine (SVM) is an algorithm that derives a model used for the classification of data into two categories and which has good generalization properties. This study applies the SVM algorithm to the problem of virtual screening for molecules with a desired activity.

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...

A Control Method for IPMSM Based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control and Model Predictive Control

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper, the speed tracking problem of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) of an electric vehicle is studied. A cascade speed control strategy based on active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) and a current control strategy ...

Space Vector Modulation Technique for Reducing Harmonics in Current with Zero Common-Mode Voltage for Two-Parallel Three-Level Converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
A zero common-mode voltage (ZCMV) modulation has the advantage of reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI) and a feature that hardly generates a zero- sequence circulating current (ZSCC) in converters operating in parallel.
