In this paper a new method for balancing the capacitors voltage in Neutral-point diode clamped inverters (NPC) is proposed. The method is based on using virtual voltage vectors (VVV) instead of medium voltage vectors (MVV) and using redundant small voltage vectors (RSVV).

Model predictive control strategy for virtual synchronous generator based on target voltage vector
Engineering Research ExpressAbstract To address the issue that conventional model predictive control (MPC) for virtual synchronous generator (VSG) requires construct an explicit cost function and traversing all possible switching states to find the optimal control vector during the solution process, which results in high computational complexity and poor ...

Direct Torque Control of Traction Motor Fed by Four-Switch Inverter with Virtual Voltage Vector
2018 37th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2018It is necessary to ensure the traction driving system can survive from fault condition when the open -circuit or short-circuit fault of power electronic device occurs. The direct torque control system of traction motor based on fault-tolerant inverter is proposed in this paper.

ABSTRACT In three‐phase two‐level inverters, the virtual space vector modulation (VSVM) has attracted widespread attention due to its ability to reduce the amplitude of common‐mode voltage and third harmonics. However, there are still problems such as rich harmonic components of common‐mode voltage and a high rate of occurrence of ...

Harmonic Current Suppression in Six‐Phase
Abstract In this paper, a virtual voltage vector (VV) modulation model predictive control harmonic control strategy (MPCHCS) with current prediction delay compensation is proposed to suppress the existing current harmonics in the traditional virtual voltage vector model predictive control (VVMPC) of a six‐phase permanent magnet ...
