Bilirubin Targeting WNK1 to Alleviate NLRP3‐Mediated Neuroinflammation
At physiological concentrations, bilirubin binds to the kinase domain of WNK1, thereby augmenting its activity and facilitating the phosphorylation of downstream SPAK/OSR1. This phosphorylation inhibits KCC2 activity, leading to elevate intracellular chloride levels in neurons.

Global bifurcation in a virus, defective genomes, satellite RNAs tripartite system: breakdown of a coexistence quasi-neutral curve [PDF]
The dynamics of wild-type (wt) RNA viruses and their defective viral genomes (DVGs) have been extensively studied both experimentally and theoretically. This research has paid special attention to the interference effects of DVGs on wt accumulation, transmission, disease severity, and induction of immunological responses.

Requirement of Activation for Hepatitis B Virus Infection [PDF]
Although _in vitro_ models of human hepatitis B virus replication are established, so far none could approximate infection efficiency as expected from _in vivo_ observations.

Pinoresinol diglucoside, a bioactive component extracted from traditional Chinese medicine, attenuates cisplatin‐induced ototoxicity in vivo and in vitro. The protective effect is achieved by downregulation of Socs1. The present study is the first to investigate the expression and function of Socs1 in inner ear, which is known to promote ferroptosis ...

Wei et al. establish a hair cell‐specific conditional knockout mouse model (Atp6v1b2fl/fl;Atoh1Cre/+), and demonstrate the importance of Atp6v1b2 for hair cell through maintaining the survival of lysosomes. A single administration of AAV‐ie‐Eh3‐mAtp6v1b2 through scala media at P0‐P2 realizes function compensation and restores hearing and balance ...

Normal forms in Virus Machines [PDF]
In the present work, we further study the computational power of virus machines (VMs in short).VMs provide a computing paradigm inspired by the transmission and replication networks of viruses.VMs consist of process units (called hosts) structured by a directed graph whose arcs are called channels and an instruction graph that controls the ...
