Research progress on the use of the optical coherence tomography system for the diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system tumors

open access: yesIbrain, Volume 11, Issue 1, Page 3-18, Spring 2025.
With the advantages of high‐resolution imaging, efficient image acquisition, intraoperative real‐time detection, and radiation‐free and noninvasive characteristics, optical coherence tomography (OCT) provides accurate diagnosis and effective intraoperative guidance for the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system (CNS ...

Machine learning versus traditional formulas for fetal weight estimation: An international multicenter study evaluating prediction accuracy across birth weight percentiles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective To assess whether machine learning (ML) offers improved birth weight prediction accuracy, since despite numerous models, the Hadlock formula remains the clinical standard. Methods A multicenter retrospective study analyzed data from 9674 singleton pregnancies with estimated fetal weight (EFW) within 7 days of delivery.

Adipose‐derived small extracellular vesicles exacerbate microvascular dysfunction in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction via mmu‐miR‐582‐3p‐mediated Rap1b suppression

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
This study reveals that small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) from visceral fat compromise coronary microcirculation in a mouse model of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The SGLT2 inhibitor canagliflozin emerges as a therapeutic strategy, improving cardiac function and endothelial health.

Ultrasonic Image Characteristics of Palatine Tonsils in Healthy Children and Analysis of Factors Influencing Image Quality

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 53, Issue 3, Page 436-444, March/April 2025.
The ultrasound detection rate of the palatine tonsils in children was good. There are characteristic ultrasonic image manifestations. Tonsil ultrasound image quality is affected by individual and local factors. ABSTRACT Objective To explore the ultrasonic image characteristics of palatine tonsils in healthy children and the factors affecting image ...

Study of Risk Factors and Image Findings of Isolated Abdominal Incidentally Detected Aortic Dissection

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 53, Issue 3, Page 429-435, March/April 2025.
We detect the risk factors and image characteristics of incidentally detected IAAD. Independent risk factors of IAAD included fatty liver and smoking. In the ultrasound findings of IAAD, an intimal flap was frequently observed. In the CT scan, displacement of intimal calcifications was frequently observed. For suspected IAAD, the abdominal aorta should
