Mechanical Model of a Hybrid Non-linear Viscoelastic Material Damping Device With Its Verifications

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2019
This paper proposes a new viscoelastic (VE) material damping device with hybrid non-linear properties. Compared with traditional linear material dampers, the new non-linear VE material damping device is characterized by its better energy dissipation and ...

Study on Inorganic Modification of Damping Capacity of Polyurethane Materials for Building [PDF]

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
As a kind of passive control device, viscoelastic damper has been successfully applied to allkinds of engineering structures. However, the viscoelastic material in viscoelastic dampers is mainly basedon rubber. Therefore, in this thesis, the viscoelastic

Spatiotemporal Drug Delivery via a Neonatal Spinal Cord ECM Hydrogel for Biomimetic Microenvironment Remodeling After Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A biomimetic hydrogel derived from neonatal spinal cord ECM (DNSCM) delivers LAMB2 protein and ISP peptide to remodel the inhibitory injury microenvironment. The system sustains drug release, upregulates pro‐regenerative LAMB2, downregulates inhibitory CSPG, and promotes axonal regeneration.

Double‐Interpenetrating Composite Bioink for Multi‐Component 3D Bioprinting and Biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine‐polysaccharides‐derived double interpenetrating network hydrogel‐based bioink, combining the attributes of physical and ionic crosslinking, enables room‐temperature bioprinting of mechanically defined structures that can be handled and are cytocompatible.

Mathematical analysis of a combustible viscoelastic material in a cylindrical channel taking into account induced electric field: A spectral approach

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering
In spite of the enormous applications of heating combustible materials due to exothermic chemical reactions, scientists and engineers still face a problem with these materials’ tendency to self-ignition, which can result in significant property damage if

Coagulative Granular Hydrogels with an Enzyme Catalyzed Fibrin Network for Endogenous Tissue Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Mechanical and Electrical Phenotype of hiPSC‐Cardiomyocytes on Fibronectin‐Based Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce fibronectin‐based PEG hydrogels with controlled rigidity to enable the culture of iPSC‐derived cardiomyocytes. These substrates offer an alternative to the current culture of these cells on fibronectin‐coated glass, providing enhanced structural and functional behavior. The system provides a more physiologically relevant platform to assess

Design and Analysis of a 1D Actively Stabilized System with Viscoelastic Damping Support

open access: yesActuators, 2019
Passively magnetically stabilized degrees of freedom yield the benefit of reduced complexity and therefore costs. However, the application of passive magnetic bearings (PMBs) also features some drawbacks.
