Viscous Dissipation in Jets [PDF]
The slow decline of surface brightness along many large-scale jets indicates that their internal pressures are determined largely by dissipation. If dissipation arises from a viscous interaction between a jet and its environment, then the observed degree of collimation enables one to constrain the nature of the viscous stress.

Nanofluidics: Viscous Dissipation in Layered Liquid Films [PDF]
We studied the layer-by-layer collapse of molecularly thin films of a model lubricant confined between two atomically smooth substrates. The dynamics of the consecutive expulsion of four molecular layers were found to slow down with decreasing film thickness but showed no evidence for confinement-induced solidification.

Viscous effects in planar magnetic X-point reconnection [PDF]
The impact of viscous dissipation is considered on magnetic reconnection in closed line-tied magnetic X-points. It is shown that viscous effects can provide fast energy dissipation for disturbances which do not alter the initial X-point topology.
