Total synthesis of viscumneoside III of Viscum coloratum

Tetrahedron, 2018
Abstract The first total synthesis of viscumneoside III, a promising anti-angina pectoris dihydroflavone O-glycoside isolated from Viscum coloratum was described here. Trichloroaceti-midate was employed as the apiofuranosyl donor to construct the key building block of homoeriodictyol-7-O-β- d -apiosyl-(1 → 2)-β-D-glycoside (1).

Anticolitic Effect ofViscum coloratumthrough Suppression of Mast Cell Activation

The American Journal of Chinese Medicine, 2019
Viscum coloratum has been used as a component for traditional medicine for therapy of inflammatory diseases. Nonetheless, effect of Viscum coloratum on inflammatory bowel disease is unknown. Therefore, we investigated whether the ethanol extract of Viscum coloratum (VCE) could suppress inflammatory responses in dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)-treated mice

Comparative study of korean (Viscum album var.coloratum) and european mistletoes (Viscum album)

Archives of Pharmacal Research, 2000
A lectin (agglutinin, VCA) from Korean mistletoe (Viscum album L. coloratum) was isolated by affinity chromatograpy on a asialofetuin-Sepharose 4B. The molecular weights of A- and B-chains of VCA were differenf from those of VAAS. The VCA recognized the antibody of VAAs in the Western blot analysis and ELLA system.

Cytotoxic compounds from Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai

Zeitschrift für Naturforschung C
Abstract Two new compounds (1–2) and a new artificial product (3) together with fifteen known compounds (4–18) were isolated from Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai. Their structures were established by analysis of their spectroscopic data including MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectra, and comparison with existing literature.

A novel plant defensin from Chinese mistletoe, Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai

Chinese Chemical Letters, 2007
A novel polypeptide named as defensin CM was isolated from Chinese mistletoe, Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai. The amino acid sequence was determined by the combination of Edman degradation, endoproteinase Lys-C digestion, and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. The primary structure was ATCSAPSGRF KGACFSSNTC SNICKTLEGL KDGHCTGLAC YCSRNC.

Study on the dynamic variation of the secondary metabolites in Viscum coloratum using targeted metabolomics

Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines, 2023
Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai is a well-known medicinal plant. However, the optimal harvest time for V. coloratum is unknown. Few studies were performed to analyze compound variation during storage and to improve post-harvest quality control. Our study aimed to comprehensively evaluate the quality of V.

Flavanone Glycosides from Viscum coloratum and Their Inhibitory Effects on Osteoclast Formation

Chemistry & Biodiversity, 2011
AbstractTwo novel flavanone glycosides, homoeriodictyol 7‐O‐β‐D‐[6‐(3‐hydroxybutanoyl)glucopyranoside] (viscumneoside IX; 1) and homoeriodictyol 7‐O‐β‐D‐[6‐(3‐hydroxybutanoyl)glucopyranosyl](1→2)‐β‐D‐glucopyranoside (viscumneoside X; 2), together with four known flavanoids, 2‐homoeriodictyol 7‐O‐β‐D‐glucopyranoside (3), viscumneoside I (4 ...

New cytotoxic compounds from Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai

Natural Product Research
Twenty-one compounds were isolated and identified from the ethanol extract of Viscum coloratum (Kom.) Nakai, including two new compounds (1 and 3), a new artificial product (2) and eighteen known compounds (4-21). Compounds 4-9 and 11-20 were isolated from Santalaceae for the first time.

Lectins isolated from Korean mistletoe (Viscum album coloratum) induce apoptosis in tumor cells

Cancer Letters, 1999
Cytotoxic lectins (KML-C) were isolated from an extract of Korean mistletoe [Viscum album C. (coloratum)] by affinity chromatography on a hydrolysed Sepharose 4B column, and the chemical and biological properties of KML-C were examined, partly by comparing them with a lectin (EML-1) from European mistletoe[Viscum album L. (loranthaceae)].
