Comparative Test of Novel Fluorescent Optical Antennas for LED‐ and Laser‐Based Optical Wireless Communications

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 13, May 5, 2025.
New fluorescent optical antennas are realized and tested for diverse Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) applications. The fluorescent concentrator slabs, based on different organic fluorophores, convert and convey the digital data conveyed through intensity modulation of incoming light toward a small‐area photodiode.

Adaptive Postdistortion for Nonlinear LEDs in Visible Light Communications

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2014
In a visible light communication (VLC) system, the light-emitting diode (LED) is the major source of nonlinearity. The nonlinear effects in the VLC system are different from the conventional wireless communications system.

Performance Analysis of SIMO‐UVLC System in Mix‐Water Medium

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2025.
An autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) communicates with a submarine that is mounted M‐ary of LEDs. It is considered that AUV transmits optical signals through mixed water layers within strong turbulence channel conditions while maintaining pointing error.

QCL‐Based Cryogen‐Free THz Optical Wireless Communication Link

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 19, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
A novel QCL‐based, cryogen‐free, and transportable wireless communication system is presented operating at 2.83 THz. The QCL device is mounted in a compact Stirling refrigerator, while a room‐temperature graphene‐based FET is used as a receiver, implementing a binary on‐off keying (OOK) modulation scheme with Manchester encoding.

Analysis of visible light communication (VLC)for biomedical application

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering & Technology, 2018
In the visible light communication (VLC), light emitting diodes (LEDs) are used as transmitters; the air is the transmission medium and the photodiodes are used for receivers. This is often referred to as light fidelity (Li-Fi). In this method, provide the methodology to evaluate the performance of VLC hotspot networks in the context of data ...
