Abstract Positron emission tomography with x‐ray computed tomography (PET/CT) is increasingly being utilized for radiation treatment planning (RTP). Accurate delivery of RT therefore depends on quality PET/CT data. This study covers quality control (QC) procedures required for PET/CT for diagnostic imaging and incremental QC required for RTP.

Mapping the ocular surface from monocular videos with an application to dry eye disease grading [PDF]
With a prevalence of 5 to 50%, Dry Eye Disease (DED) is one of the leading reasons for ophthalmologist consultations. The diagnosis and quantification of DED usually rely on ocular surface analysis through slit-lamp examinations. However, evaluations are subjective and non-reproducible.

Unchanging visions: the effects and limitations of ocular stillness [PDF]
Scientists have pondered the perceptual effects of ocular motion, and those of its counterpart, ocular stillness, for over 200 years. The unremitting ‘trembling of the eye’ that occurs even during gaze fixation was first noted by Jurin in 1738. In 1794, Erasmus Darwin documented that gaze fixation produces perceptual fading, a phenomenon rediscovered ...
