Mining intensive care vitals for leading indicators of adverse health events [PDF]
p components form a null space model of the expected normal behavior of the given vital sign. We build one null space model for each channel separately; this concludes the learning stage of the process. Each newly observed set of k consecutive measurements is then processed through Fourier transform and projected onto the p principal components of the ...

Boundary identification of events in clinical named entity recognition [PDF]
The problem of named entity recognition in the medical/clinical domain has gained increasing attention do to its vital role in a wide range of clinical decision support applications. The identification of complete and correct term span is vital for further knowledge synthesis (e.g., coding/mapping concepts thesauruses and classification standards ...

The study evaluated the function and therapeutic implications of PRAME in basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The findings demonstrate that PRAME impairs keratinocyte differentiation pathways. Furthermore, PRAME impairs anticancer response to retinoid compounds in BCC and SCC cells.

Classification of acute myeloid leukemia based on multi‐omics and prognosis prediction value
The Unsupervised AML Multi‐Omics Classification System (UAMOCS) integrates genomic, methylation, and transcriptomic data to categorize AML patients into three subtypes (UAMOCS1‐3). This classification reveals clinical relevance, highlighting immune and chromosomal characteristics, prognosis, and therapeutic vulnerabilities.

TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.

Deep Convolutional Neural Network for Roadway Incident Surveillance Using Audio Data [PDF]
Crash events identification and prediction plays a vital role in understanding safety conditions for transportation systems. While existing systems use traffic parameters correlated with crash data to classify and train these models, we propose the use of a novel sensory unit that can also accurately identify crash events: microphone.

Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important
